Brighter Sun is an iPhone app for horoscopes, birth charts and numerology. It is made by Mazen Ladki, an independent developer based in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This policy explains what happens to the information you use in the app.
Brighter Sun does not collect your personal data. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
To create your readings, you may enter:
your name, and your date, time and place of birth
the name, date, time and place of birth of other people you add, for compatibility or numerology readings
your preferences, such as your zodiac sign, colour theme and reminder times
All of this is stored only in the app's storage on your device. Your readings are calculated on your device from this information. None of it is uploaded, shared, sold or used for advertising.
Your device's own backups, such as iCloud Backup, may include the app's storage, depending on your device settings. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple, not by us.
If you add someone else, their details stay on your device in the same way and are never shared with them or anyone else. Their birth chart is not shown in the app, only the reading. Please only add someone's details if you're comfortable they would agree.
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. The app only receives confirmation from Apple, on your device, of which subscription is active. Apple's handling of your purchase information is covered by Apple's own privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Daily and monthly reminders are scheduled on your device, and only if you turn them on. The read-aloud feature uses your iPhone's built-in speech voices.
Brighter Sun works offline. It only connects to the internet through Apple when you buy or restore a subscription, and when you choose to open an external link, such as our terms or this policy.
The app contains no analytics, advertising, tracking tools or third-party data services, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
You can delete everything the app has stored at any time. Go to Settings & subscription at the bottom of the main screen and tap Delete all my data, or simply delete the app. Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription; you can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
Brighter Sun is not directed at children under 13. The numerology reading declines to create a profile for anyone under 13, and compatibility readings involving anyone under 18 are friendship readings with no romantic content.
Because we do not collect or hold your personal data, there is nothing stored with us to access, correct or delete. You remain in full control of your information on your own device. If you have any question about your privacy, contact us and we'll be glad to help.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
